This type southern date has so much commercial value as it is one of most important items of khozestan province of Iran. SAIR of khozestan province is unique in the world due to its sugar percentage and nutritious value. It is among the important export dates of the world.
Among the most important properties of this type date is its semi dryness, which promotes preservable of the date. High level of sugar, redundant juice, easily separations of core date. 2- SHAHANI

This type of date is named differently in different regions. This type of date includes as soft dates. In some regions of course it is used in dried form.
This type is the second most widespread under cultivation. Shahani has so much home consumption due to its great sweetness and pretty color. Recently has found great attraction among foreign countries that are the main customers of this type of date.

3- MAZAFATI

Mazafati, important economic date, has the third rank in Iran after SAIR and Shahani type. This type of date is cultivated in various regions of country. Mazafati Date of the city of bam is one of the most important dates as to domestic market in Iran.
Mazafati, as the best items of et and semi et type, is black red having high quality. The problem of this type of date is its preservation since it becomes sour due to softness, as it shall be kept in the cold places.

4- KABKAB

This type is ranked after SAIR, Shahani and Mazafati included as wet date.

5- RABBI

Rabbi dates are rather big with red color.

6- ZAHIDI

This type is considered as dry types and in some regions as semi dry types. This type is export date having very high quality, good preservable and convenience transportation. It is considered as industrial type due to its high amount of sugar, used in vinegar alcohol and other industrial applications.

7- SHAVI

This type is semi dry with moisture about 17% and with brown, dark brown color .

8- INDUSTRIAL

This type make of different type that do not use eating and do not useable. But this type useable in industrial .
